Induction program for the newly joined UG students

The Five-Day Induction Programme, conducted from 16.09.2026 to 22.09.2026, was organized to facilitate the smooth transition of newly admitted students into the academic environment. The programme was designed to familiarize students with the department, faculty members, laboratory and institutional facilities, while also promoting personal development, confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards learning. A variety of orientation sessions, interactive activities, departmental visits, guest lectures, motivational sessions, academic talks, and cultural activities were arranged throughout the programme. The sessions provided students with opportunities to understand their academic responsibilities, develop interpersonal skills, explore institutional resources, and actively engage with their peers and faculty members. Overall, the programme created a welcoming and supportive environment that helped students begin their academic journey with greater confidence and enthusiasm.

Day 1 – 16.09.2026
The first day of the Induction Program began with an orientation session conducted by
Ms.K.Suvathika/HOD. Students then participated in a self-introduction session coordinated by Mrs.N.
Ramya/AP. A computer lab visit was organized by Dr.Ms.R.Priyadharsini/AP and Mr.
M.Vaithiyanathan/AP to familiarize students with the laboratory facilities. The day concluded with
personality development games conducted by Ms.K. Jayashree/AP and Mr. M.Gowsick/AP. The
sessions were interactive and helped students feel comfortable in their new academic environment.
Day 2 – 17.09.2026
The second day of the Induction Program included a session on Peer Pressure conducted by Mr. N.
Subramaniyan/IQAC. A session on Data Collection was handled by Dr.Ms. R. Priyadharshini/AP
and Mr. K. Pookundran/AP. The students were also taken for a Department Visit along with all the
staff members. The day concluded with an informative session on Physics of Earth by Dr. J.
Venugopal/AP. The sessions were informative and engaging for the students.
Day 3 – 18.09.2026
The third day of the Induction Program featured an inspiring guest speech by JC. G. Uma MSW, M.A.,
M.Phil., M.Sc. Psychology. The session provided valuable insights and motivation to the students,
making the day informative and engaging.
Day 4 – 21.09.2026
The fourth day of the Induction Program began with a motivational speech by Mrs. N. Ramya/AP. This
was followed by an AIIC visit coordinated by Mr. D. Dinesh Danabalan, Ms. M. Karthika/AP, and
Ms. A. Hemalatha/AP. The day concluded with an informative Chemistry session by Ms. K.
Suvathika/HOD. The sessions were engaging and provided students with valuable academic and
motivational insights.
Day 5 – 22.09.2026
The fifth day of the Induction Program featured cultural activities conducted by Ms. K. Jayashree/AP
and Mrs. N. Ramya/AP. The students actively participated in the events, which encouraged creativity,
confidence, and team spirit. The session was enjoyable and engaging for all the students.
