The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Arifa Institute of Technology (AIT), Nagapattinam, successfully organized an Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse Prevention to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to encourage them to adopt a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle. The programme was conducted at the Block–1 Seminar Hall and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers. The initiative aimed to create awareness about the physical, psychological, social, and legal consequences of drug abuse while emphasizing the importance of making informed and positive life choices. The awareness session was led by Mr. A. Arulsakthi, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Mr. C. The programme commenced at 9:30 AM with the traditional invocation followed by the welcome address delivered by the Principal.
